Approximately 30 miles northeast of Green Bay, Wisconsin sits a small town along Lake Michigan’s shoreline called Algoma. To many, Algoma is the fishing capital of Wisconsin. The beautiful part about Algoma is much lower property taxes paid in comparison to Door County. Many sell their homes and vacation homes in Door County and find much more for the dollar in Kewaunee County without sacrificing the beauty Lake Michigan offers.
